Clay bricks and concrete blocks serve different masonry requirements. The right choice comes from the drawings and project specification, not from a generic price comparison.
Start with the approved wall design
Check the drawings and ask the responsible engineer or designer whether the wall calls for clay bricks, hollow concrete blocks or solid blocks. Confirm the required dimensions and any strength or performance specification.
Use a consistent unit when comparing quotes
Brick quotations may be prepared per thousand bricks, while concrete blocks may be priced per piece or pallet. Convert the project requirement into a clear quantity schedule and do not compare unlike units.
Ask about quality and inspection
Agree on dimensions, visible defects, breakage handling and any required product documentation. For blocks, state whether the specified product is hollow or solid and include the dimensions.
Include transport and site handling
Confirm loading, delivery vehicle access, unloading responsibilities and the site delivery window. A complete quotation should make clear what is included in the delivered price.
